Specialty Lubricants

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Clean or replace bearings. Before applying SBGTM Sealed Bearing Gel lubricant, thoroughly clean the bearings to remove traces of conventional greases, to avoid any compatibility problems. Even new bearings should be cleaned of any slush or oils, and the cleaning solvents be allowed to completely evaporate before applying SBGTM Sealed Bearing Gel.
  • Do not overfill bearing. Pack rolling elements as with conventional greases but fill only to about one-third full. Over-packing will result in excessive bearing temperature.
  • Allow machinery to run to operating temperature.
  • To top up, simply add. For ultra-high speed bearings, do not re-lubricate with a grease gun; re-inspect and repack as required. Consult distributor and the suggested re-lubrication schedule.
  • Use recommended NLGI viscosity grade. NLGI viscosity grade numbers 00,0,1, 2 and 3 are standard; other viscosity grades are available on special orders. For use through automated lubrication systems, use NLGI No.1or lower. Consult Kem-A-TrixTM or distributor.
